Welcome to Princeton

Welcome to Princeton, from your friends at The Princeton Tiger and the USG!

Do you like funny things? Are you capable of forming a smile? Are you able to read, at least a little? Then you too can join The Princeton Tiger! We’re looking for people with writing skills, video skills, business skills, musical skills, mad skillz, volleyball kills, dollah dollah bills, old sawmills, mansions in Beverly Hills, bags of krills, and people who don’t know that the plural of “krill” is “krill.” All levels of experience are welcome — most of us had never done humor before college. Probably for good reason.

About Us

The Princeton Tiger publishes the nation’s second oldest college humor magazine, 128 years young (though we don’t look a day over 90). F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote for us, and we invented the “Not!” joke and “There once was a man from Nantucket,” so we’re kind of a big deal.

We produce and distribute our unique brand of literature (should you actually call it “literature”) continuously online at tigermag.com, and the best of our writing is collected twice annually in a “Best Of Tiger” that is distributed all over campus. Our work has even been featured in the New York Times, The New Yorker, The Huffington Post, and other famous publications that should probably know better by now. We don’t just stick to writing though—we also produce sketch comedy videos that get mad views, and we’re an active member of the Princeton pranking community.

If you like what you see, come to our first meeting / open house!  It’s Thursday, September 23rd at 8:00 PM in the 4th floor conference room of 48 University Place — if you come down the steps of Blair arch, it will be the brick building on your right a little after the UStore. (We’ll have someone outside to guide you.) Fill out our general interest form or RSVP to our Facebook event if you’re interested in coming.  Don’t worry if you don’t have any experience or don’t think you’re funny—we can help with that!  There may or may not be food, but there probably will be.  If you can’t make the meeting, email jim@tigermag.com and we’ll get you all set up.

If you don’t like what you see, our first meeting is May 3 at 2:30 AM in an alley someplace in North Trenton.  It may or may not be a trap, but it probably will be.
